During the hotel and catering job dating which was organized on Tuesday at the Beaune branch of Pôle Emploi, there were slightly fewer applicants than during the previous edition, last year. But hires were signed directly.

For some candidates, this was the first interview that allowed them to have a more specific project. Photo LBP / F. B.

About sixty candidates showed up on Tuesday afternoon for the hotel and catering job dating which was organized at the Pôle emploi agency in Beaune. “Last year we had ninety candidates. This drop can perhaps be explained by the low unemployment rate in the Beaune basin (5.7%). We can also notice that the profiles were, this year, more targeted. An establishment signed two contracts directly this afternoon. We don’t have all the feedback yet. We will be following up in the coming weeks as the recruiting campaign begins in March. On Tuesday, there were 18 establishments offering 52 job offers and 80 positions to be filled, “explains Patricia Labonde, director of the Beaune employment center.

One constant came up during these interviews: for most establishments, it is difficult to find servers. One of them, yet located in the city center, was in the same situation and, yet, in high season, the remuneration can be attractive: “We believe that a good server can earn, with tips, up to at € 2,500 in summer ”. However, it is difficult to find one, because on the one hand, it is a profession that requires real know-how and, on the other hand, the waiters are called upon to work evenings and weekends.

To say how much the hotel and restaurant industry is a sector in tension, a luxury establishment on the Côte nuitonne sometimes has to refuse customers for lack of staff.

Among the sixty candidates who presented themselves Tuesday, some were looking for a job on CDI (permanent contract), others on CDD (fixed-term contract) with the prospect of making a season. Still others, finally, took advantage of this job dating to go around the best houses, to book a plan B. Aurélie, Beaunoise, had this reasoning: “I’m looking for a job as a receptionist or a versatile employee. hospitality, in order to have a better perspective for the months to come. This afternoon enabled me to meet the bosses directly, without the usual intermediaries, because I am looking to develop my career “.

For the Pôle Emploi teams, this thematic day represented a big challenge. Of the 600 job offers currently in stock, 174 come from the hotel and catering industry. Last year, over the twelve months, this sector alone provided 778 job offers in the Beaune job pool. To ensure the success of this day, Pôle emploi communicated on social networks and received 2,400 visits. It had also sent out invitations to 550 targeted job seekers.

Still, the sector is struggling to renew its employees, because it is always badly perceived. It still has everything to do to multiply vocations.

APEF SERVICES LUNEL ORGANIZES THE 1ST EDITION OF ITS “JOB DATING”

Nearly 10 positions are to be filled at the Apef Services Lunel agency during the job dating organized on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

Go to an agency to meet Nathaly DUFOUR, agency manager, and her team:

Apef Services, a national network of personal service agencies, is organizing the 1st edition of its “JOB DATING” in all its agencies, Thursday November 16, 2017. Through this special day, the challenge is twofold for Apef Services agencies : meet and recruit motivated candidates, but also promote professions with strong human values.

To support the development of agencies and respond to an ever-increasing demand from families, whether it is to take care of their parents, their children or their home, the Apef Services agencies are launching a major call for recruitment and organizing this major event. -vous national unpublished on November 16.

There are more than 200 positions available immediately in all Apef Services branches, and for 2018, around 1,000 jobs will be offered across the network. This sector is changing rapidly and offers real employment prospects throughout the country. The vast majority of life support, home help and childcare positions are in demand.

The agencies also offer gardening, DIY and support assignments, as well as supervisory jobs, such as sector assistants, agency managers, clientele or HR managers.

The personal services sector currently employs 1.5 million people according to the DGE (Directorate General for Enterprises). Home help professions are among those that will benefit from the highest volumes of job creation between 2012 and 2022, with some 320,000 jobs to be filled for home helpers alone.

This sector has significant development potential linked to the maintenance of a dynamic birth rate and the aging of the population and offers a wide range of professions, a rich training offer and a social framework for all.

“By creating this first national day, we want to meet the growing needs of our agencies in terms of recruitment but also open our doors to candidates so that they can discover the personal service professions. Everyone will be able to submit their CV to apply for an advertisement or simply meet professionals in the sector to ask questions. This day therefore has a double objective: to recruit immediately but also to present all the professional opportunities to people wishing to change direction or in active search “, specifies Sébastien COGEZ, Director of Apef Services.

The majority of positions to be filled at Apef Services are offered on a permanent basis, with a minimum of 24 hours per week. In addition, most agencies have introduced the annualization of working time (ATT), which allows the employee to have a fixed salary every month, even if the working hours vary from month to month. .

In addition, Apef Services is committed to developing and professionalizing its teams. Training is regularly offered to home helpers: Well-treatment and care, end-of-life support, deepening of neurodegenerative diseases … These training periods, ranging from one to two days, represent privileged moments of exchange between professionals. For stakeholders working daily with vulnerable audiences, Apef Services also organizes expression groups.

Home care professions require real know-how, but also and above all remarkable know-how. Working in clients’ homes, and in particular with the elderly, requires a great ability to listen and understand their needs. It is also having a certain closeness to people, while respecting their privacy. Punctuality, friendliness and autonomy, are human skills which imply a fair maturity.

In terms of qualifications, the most sought-after diplomas are the DEAVS (State Diploma of Auxiliary de Vie Sociale), the professional title ADVF (Assistant (e) de Vie aux Familles) to work with elderly people in a situation of loss. autonomy, or people with disabilities; the CAP Petite Enfance and the BAFA to work with children; finally, a diploma in the medico-social sector is required for management professions.

Testimony of Mrs. Francesca TROIA, carer for 10 years, now assistant of the Apef Services agency in Narbonne (11):

“At 51 years old, after working for 10 years as a caregiver, I am now working as an agency assistant. This career development is for me a real chance that Didier ROUBY, manager of the Apef Services agency in Narbonne, gave me. I did not want to change jobs overnight and he accepted that the change would be gradual. Thanks to my experience in the field, I have a special bond with the speakers because I understand their job on a daily basis. Likewise, when I am in contact with clients to present our services to them, I know how to explain the service we provide to them.

Today I take great pleasure in my new functions, I learn every day, I still have progress to make, especially with the business software, and who knows, I will perhaps one day evolve into a position of agency manager!

Cities with less than 100,000 inhabitants are losing their downtown shops. Thursday in Rennes, a speed dating wants to reverse the trend.

In Noyon, in the Oise, the Mademoiselle Claire ready-to-wear store defies the crisis. Supported by the town hall which negotiated a moderate rent for her in 2014, Claire Dété plans to complete her offer with hats, shoes and men’s clothing. The young woman also benefited from the advice of the Federation of trial shops, an association of 16 municipalities (Pontivy, Le Creusot, Pau, Laon …) which accompanies traders ready to test their concept in an empty room for a year. .

Noyon is one of those agglomerations of less than 100,000 inhabitants who refuse the decline of their trade. According to the Procos * trade federation, these “relegated” city centers suffer from a vacancy rate – the proportion of empty stores – of 10%. Too many empty storefronts plague the atmosphere and discourage entrepreneurs. Customers prefer peripheral shopping centers and the heart of large metropolises: Paris, Lille, Bordeaux, Rennes… France is cut in two, with on one side the towns which are living on the edge and the very attractive “hypercentres” of regional capitals and tourist towns like Nice, La Rochelle or Biarritz. At the same time, the Internet is siphoning off customers from travel agencies, video stores, bookstores …

Elected officials and traders will meet in Rennes on Wednesday for the 11th National Conference in the city center in order to bridge this gap. “We will organize a speed dating so that dialogue can begin between around 800 mayors and brands such as Celio, Pizza Hut, Monoprix, Beauty Success, Starbucks…”, specifies Pierre Creuzet, general manager of Center-ville en mouvement.

Today, municipalities are looking for locomotives for local commerce. This is good, the large distribution at the origin of hypermarkets on the outskirts is reinvesting the city center. Witness Casino, which has 7,000 mini-markets. In rural areas, there are 1,800 Vival whose area does not exceed 200 m². Last year, the group counted on opening 400 franchises with the advantage of competitive prices, no more than 3,000 references and additional services: Post office, cash pick-up, press point, Photo booth, etc.

Since the law of June 2014, mayors more easily preempt business assets in order to rent them. They intend to adapt the conditions of parking, delivery and waste management. In exchange, elected officials select the brand to prevent a mutual, an optician or an insurer from setting up. And demand that the newcomer not compete with the local baker or butcher. Give and take.

And it’s really during the last week that we started coding!

We were given a theme: “digital in 2050” and I chose to take the car in 2050 according to the media etc, ie the autonomous car that drives itself.

There, I am in Apple training (Simplon.co training in partnership with the Apple Foundation Program) to learn the “Swift” programming language. It lasts a month, it’s to add more skills and why not work in the apple stores.

I was pre-selected for Simplon’s long training course in “Devweb” “Fullstack” “Javascript”. I would really like to continue in this area: everything that is “web developer” … and why not do “DevOps” afterwards, but it is more extensive …

Do you have any advice or a message to pass on to young people or their companions?

You have to follow, write down the lessons, take a photo of the lessons at each session, keep them on the computer. If there is a problem, look for the info on the internet. As Jonathan (the trainer) often said, google is your friend. Without google, we would not succeed! It is necessary to follow well… especially in the middle of the training because there is important information… and fortunately, there are exits to forget the code a little and to go beyond… voila, it is necessary to follow, to listen well, to be diligent , and really be there… and especially punctual. “

This 4-month training course makes it possible to meet a need to support women in entering the digital economy and to meet the need for companies to recruit for the position of Certified Salesforce Administrator. 60 women are supported remotely to pass the first level of training. 15 of them are selected to continue training and take the certification exam.

This course is based on the pedagogical innovation of blended learning (combination of classical learning methods in face-to-face lessons and techniques from e-learning.) It combines classroom courses (399h) provided by WebForce3 and online modules during the first three months of training. This program can be supplemented by distance mentoring of 120 hours in a company over 6 months.

Before the training, I obtained a bachelor’s degree (BAC + 3) in Marketing and Communication but in the end I never really worked in this field as such. In fact, I worked eight years as a pure salesperson at a software publishing company. I subsequently quit my job to be able to integrate the classic WebForce3 Web Integrator Developer training, from August to November 2016.

How did you find WebForce3 and why did you choose it over another competitor?

Regarding the first Web Integrator Developer training I did in WebForce 3, I looked for and participated in many information meetings of each developer school that I could find on the internet in order to be able to compare them all before to make my decision. I really enjoyed the contact with Sylviane who was very attentive to my needs and expectations regarding training and it was thanks to the very good impression she left on me that I finally chose WebForce3.

The Davos World Economic Forum, the WEF for close friends, opens Wednesday (and until January 31) with a French guest-star, Nicolas Sarkozy. This is a first: never has a French president participated in the summit which is celebrating its 40th edition. But if the French president stays only a few hours in the Swiss ski resort, the other “masters of the world” all have a priority in mind: to succeed “their” Davos (the ticket is still 13,000 euros per head for business leaders) … This requires a rigorous logistical organization. Especially since many of the 2,500 participants are used to being pampered all year round. And that they find themselves in Davos, alone, without their usual army of collaborators. Package review.

Rule 1: your private meetings, you will honor from daybreak

Let’s call her Françoise (that’s not her real first name) because she doesn’t want her boss to recognize her. Secretary of a big beast of the CAC40, she confides that, for her, Davos is a nightmare. In September, she took care of the registration of her boss. At the beginning of December, he asked her to organize his “one-to-one” on the sidelines of the “sessions”, the 220 conferences organized during the five days of his short stay in Switzerland. Private talks with clients or bankers he knows well. But also and especially with personalities that he absolutely does not know. The mayor of a large Asian city, a Brazilian competitor, a Hungarian minister …

Thanks to the little “who’s who” provided by the organizers of the summit, Françoise has therefore called the whole world and offers time slots a little before the big conferences or at the end of the day (the official program does not start until 9 am and ends at 6:45 p.m.) … A well-organized boss begins his extra-summit meetings with breakfasts from 7:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

There was a time, say the regulars, when some first came to Davos to show off. But, in recent years, the atmosphere has been much more studious. It’s about taking the pulse of the planet. WEF management provides a summary sheet for each conference. But this does not say much about the debates. Because you have to “feel” what is happening in the conferences. And bet on false values. Or the strokes of genius.

A few years ago, Jean-Marie Messier was a star in Davos. The boss of Enron too. But he told himself that we hardly saw them in the station any more. The same goes for the boss of Lehmann Brothers, super star in 2007. Rather than the stars of the moment, we must seek to flush out the nuggets. About ten years ago, Louis Schweitzer (then CEO of Renault) heard about a new mode of communication in one of the conferences given by scientists who were somewhat disconnected from reality. They evoked the beginnings of the intranet which was not called that at the time.

The second part of our showcase of young graduates ready to make their expertise available to companies looking for young talented profiles. This week we are hosting Younes El Hayani, whom we had the chance to discover during BATIMAT 2015. Younes is a young architect who surprised us with his talent and the quality of his work and his brilliant career. BIM was already obvious to him a few years ago!

Hello Younes, can you tell us about yourself and your experience in a few words?

Hello Emmanuel, thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself on your blog.

Regarding my training, I have just completed a series of 10 years of higher education during which I was able to capitalize on two diplomas and varied and complementary professional experiences.

After having completed an economic and commercial preparatory class, then having graduated with a Master II in “Sustainable performance management” (Thesis on sustainable real estate as a new paradigm, available on Calaméo.com), I got involved in studies of Architecture. It might sound a little crazy when I decided to do it, but I needed to make more sense of what I was doing, to feel that I was using my potential while being concretely useful by participating in the design of the world of tomorrow. I was aware of the difficulties that the profession of architect was going through, in particular because of the economic crisis, but I was convinced that it was an opportunity for my generation to make profound changes that could breathe new life into the building sector, in particular through environmental issues. So I was convinced that there were opportunities and room for me.

And in the end it is a complete and versatile training that I received, especially since my experience in preparatory class and in management school allowed me to acquire knowledge and a perspective that were very useful to me. useful in architecture school and in life at large.

My career in architecture school was done in two stages. I first completed my BA at the Special School of Architecture, which was abundant and uniquely rich under the supervision of Odile Decq. I received a high quality education during these three years, but I chose to join ENSA Paris La Villette for the Master, mainly for the possibility it offers to specialize in sustainable architecture. For my thesis, I studied the social acceptability of the greening of Parisian buildings, against the backdrop of the question of the cohabitation of city dwellers with a biodiversity back in the city and the nature of the borders that separate them. I also had the chance to do a semester within the Master in “Sustainable Building: Performance and Design” at the University of Oxford Brookes where I was able to discover a project culture that is both complex and pragmatic, where engineering is an inseparable component of architecture. Finally, for my PFE, I chose to rehabilitate an electrical substation to make it a place dedicated to supporting city dwellers in the ecological transition (produced on Revit).

For Symfony, I received an email from Pôle Emploi to introduce me to the training. There was an email address to apply to but I didn’t receive a response straight away. So I relaunched and was finally contacted by SensioLabs who told me that my profile interested them for training and that I was taken.

I am hired at Maltem and we will be sent to companies to carry out development missions and Symfony.

There is one thing we are not necessarily told when we start out in Development. There is certainly a strong demand for Web Developer Integrator in the market but when you look for your first job in this field, it is made clear to you that you are too junior and that you will not be trusted immediately. You have to prove yourself inevitably so that, over time, companies will trust you and take you seriously. So I’m very grateful to Maltem for hiring almost all of us knowing that we are junior and I would like to stay there so I can gain experience. After that, why not in the future use my skills and develop my own project, create a start-up and push it to the top.

What is your final project? [WebForce3 learners carry out a project at the end of the training which they support in front of a jury]

I chose to do the project with Antoine. We chose the subject of loyalty cards for a laser game. It’s a project that I have learned a lot from. We shared the tasks fairly. For my part, I took care of the back end, the administrator profile. Then I created various features such as the function that allows you to manage the reservation of games in advance. In fact, I take care of all the administration part of the site. I also took care of the login part because clients can log in as a player or as an administrator.

The CNAM training course entitled “Digital Pass” is aimed at learners aged 18 to 25. Based on an alternation between theoretical training and a 6-month internship in a company, learners will be encouraged to open up to digital cultures in the development of technical skills: learning software, scientific tools, developing a press review , etc. This training leads to professional integration into digital professions or further training to prepare for the Technicien.ne Developer.se diploma (BAC + 2).

The Wild Code School PHP web developer training is a 5-month training course followed by a 4-month internship in a company. The goal is to give learners the basics of programming in HTML / CSS and to specialize in a programming language so that students are employable and operational from the end of the training.

At 18, with a vocational baccalaureate in my pocket, I started working life and devoted myself ten years to the restaurant business. At the age of 28, having become a restaurant manager, I decided to leave everything to start a professional retraining.

Labeled by number and a little nervous, dozens of young entrepreneurs wait in the corridors of the town’s Theater: they have one minute to convince three star entrepreneurs on stage to support their project and win 25,000 euros.

Launched in June by a tweet from Marc Simoncini, the founder of the online dating site Meetic, this initiative aims to select “101 projects” from start-ups to give them a boost. She was joined by two other web-entrepreneurs, Xavier Niel (Free) and Jacques-Antoine Granjon (vente-privee.com).

Nearly 300 young people, preselected from some 1,500 files sent, were scheduled for Monday to follow one another in several sessions on the stage of the Parisian theater where a screen sits on top that counts down the seconds.

Before giving the signal to start, Jacques-Antoine Granjon urges the candidates: “Be free and independent!”.

The first to pass, Augustin Rudigoz, comes out satisfied even if he has sometimes stammered and recognizes that the exercise “makes the heart beat a little”.

“It goes very quickly, one minute, three hundred projects, you have to succeed in standing out (…) I think I managed to get the bulk of my message across, even if we always want to say it a little more ”, explains the young man of 24, who presented mobey-app.com, an application which allows brands to collect information on the distribution of their products.

Other candidates – more often in sneakers and jackets than in suits – await their turn under the chandeliers of the theater decorated with red velvet by repeating their “number” or reading their tablet.

The vast majority of applicants are young men, mainly from the web economy, even if some projects stand out, such as a bamboo bike proposal, that of a disinfectant in a wipe or even a catering offer on a traveling boat. (or “foodboat”), in the tradition of food trucks.

“We expect them to surprise us. We are already a little overwhelmed by these young people, we do not know how they consume. We would like to see young people embarking on somewhat crazy projects, ”explained Marc Simoncini before these sessions.

“We want to be a little uncle of the family, the virtual godfather” who will allow these young people to start their business, added Xavier Niel, promising the selected candidates a follow-up if necessary by e-mail.

In addition to taking a stake of 25,000 euros in their start-up, the young people say they are looking for the dubbing of the trio of net-entrepreneurs, which represents for them a key to developing and convincing future clients and investors.

“It will change our communication when we go to see other business angels” (investors who help businesses start up), explains Julien Bourdeau, 26, who presents Côtelettes & tares aux fraises, a site that allows you to order online in local shops.

The young Nantes native, whose parents are butchers, has one regret: he forgot to talk about his business model during the presentation.

Orange sweater, jacket and plaid scarf, Corentin Geoffroy, a 24-year-old engineering student, admits having polished his look for his presentation of Boutwik, a fashion shopping aid site.

“It’s a good preparation, a good training”, he says, explaining that he would like his project to be chosen for “the gain of credibility”.

Alexandre Heuzé leaves the stage at full speed: “I trained, I made my pitch, I hope it did”, launches the young entrepreneur who created his project after 11 months of unemployment.

He finds himself with his start-up, Talentroc, a knowledge exchange platform, in the midst of fundraising, and hopes to be selected to receive a boost in his search for investors.

“For regional funding, there are a lot of files to fill out, the good thing about this kind of event is that it’s fast, well suited, it’s done by entrepreneurs to entrepreneurs, ”notes the 28-year-old.
